A. Lange & Söhne Opens New London Salon in Historic Bourdon House

A. Lange & Söhne, the esteemed German watch manufacturer, has inaugurated a new salon in London’s prestigious Mayfair district. Located on the first floor of the historic Bourdon House, this new establishment is the brand’s third retail presence in the city according to 365 Retail.

The new salon is situated at 2 Davies Street, within the heart of Mayfair, a district renowned for its upscale shopping, world-class galleries, and fine dining. Bourdon House, originally built in the 1720s, was modernised by the Duke of Westminster and served as his official London residence until his death in 1953. Currently, it houses dunhill, the foremost British men’s luxury house, and one of London’s most distinguished private members’ clubs. The building is listed under special protection as a historic monument, adding a unique charm to the new salon.

The 26m² A. Lange & Söhne Salon is designed in a modern lounge style, offering an atmosphere of luxury and elegance. A highlight of the salon is the larger-than-life installation of the outsize date, a hallmark of the brand inspired by Dresden’s Semper Opera House.

The salon offers an exclusive selection of timepieces presented in a private VIP lounge environment. Clients can expect exceptional service and a welcoming atmosphere that embodies A. Lange & Söhne’s dedication to the highest standards. From June 2024 onward, watch enthusiasts and clients passionate about precision watchmaking will receive expert advice and personal service with the utmost care.

To provide a comprehensive overview of the collection, the salon will feature many timepieces from A. Lange & Söhne’s six distinguished watch families. Reservations for visits are encouraged to ensure a personalised experience, though they are not required.

“To fully appreciate our timepieces, which are crafted by our watchmakers with the utmost attention to detail, it is essential to hold them in your hands and observe their intricacies up close,” says Wilhelm Schmid, CEO of Lange. “We are delighted to expand our presence in London and welcome members of our loyal community of Lange friends as well as new clients to our new Salon in Bourdon House. This unique setting steeped in history will allow us to provide them with the excellent customer experience they deserve.”
